BIOGRAPHY
DASHITA is a Costa Rican music artist and producer who blends latin rhythms like reggaeton, trap and dancehall with experimental techno, futuristic pop elements and raw lyrics
From Osa, Puntarenas, she channels her roots into a bold sound and aesthetic, her lyrics are known for their explicitness, unique humor, vulnerability and true storytelling; her way to cut the historical silencing of female voices while speaking unapologetically about the real experiences as a ‘97 queer woman
Her music reflects both her artistic and human side, juxtaposing delusion and fantasy with the realities and struggles of growth. Born in a rural southern town but dreaming about singing on the biggest stages. Each song invites listeners into a world where every single girl from every little town can become a global superstar without losing her authenticity and always staying true to herself
Having shared the stage with latin stars like Puerto Rican artist Myke Towers, Venezuelan Danny Ocean, Colombian Blssd and Panamanian Boza, Dashita keeps building her career under the same vision as when she started “If I am going to become a latin star it is because of who I am”. With a distinctive fusion of Costa Rican roots and futuristic ambition, she has crafted a unique sound that defines the new wave of Latin music creatives, where personal storytelling meets the frequencies of global souls
Dashita is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Music Business with a concentration in Artist Management and a minor in Marketing at Berklee College of Music, where she’s honing the creative and technical skills to shape the future of the music industry
